 Making a hamburger recipe at home is simple and customizable. Here's a basic recipe for a classic beef hamburger:



Ingredients:

Ground beef (80% lean, 20% fat) – 1 lb (450g)

Salt and pepper - to taste

Hamburger buns – 4

Cheese slices (optional) – 4 (cheddar, American, etc.)

Toppings (optional):

  Lettuce

  tomato slices

  Onions (raw or caramelized)

  Pickles

  Ketchup, mustard, mayo, etc.


  Instructions:


1.Prepare the patties:

   - Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions (about 4 oz or 113g each).

    - Gently shape each portion into a patty that's slightly larger than the bun, as the meat will shrink when cooking.

    - Season both sides of the patties with salt and pepper.


 2.Cook the patties:

   - Grilling: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes per side for medium doneness, flipping only once. For well-done burgers, cook a bit longer.

  Pan-frying: Heat a little oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes per side.

 Optionally, during the last minute of cooking, add a slice of cheese on top of each patty and cover the grill or skillet to melt the cheese.


 3. Prepare the buns:

   - While the patties are cooking, toast the hamburger buns lightly on the grill or in the skillet until golden brown.


 4. Assemble the burgers:

   - Place the cooked patty on the bottom half of the bun.

    - Add your preferred toppings like lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and sauces (ketchup, mustard, mayo, etc.).

    - Place the top half of the bun on top.


 5.Serve:

   - Serve immediately with your choice of sides like fries, chips, or a salad.


 Tips:

- For juicier burgers, avoid pressing down on the patties while cooking.

 - You can experiment with different meats (like turkey or chicken) or seasoning blends.
