Making a delicious veg burger at home is easy and allows you to customize it to your liking. Here's a simple recipe for a classic veg burger with a flavorful patty, fresh veggies, and your favorite condiments.


   Ingredients:


 For the Patty:

- 1 cup boiled and mashed potatoes

- 1/2 cup grated carrots

- 1/2 cup finely chopped bell peppers (any color)

- 1/4 cup finely chopped onions

- 1/4 cup boiled peas (optional)

- 1/4 cup boiled corn (optional)

- 1/4 cup bread crumbs (plus extra for coating)

- 1-2 tablespoons chopped coriander leaves

- 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste

- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder

- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala (or any mixed spice blend)

-Salt to taste

- Oil for shallow frying


 For assembly:

– 4 burger buns

– Lettuce leaves

- Tomato slices

- Onion slices

- Cheese slices (optional)

- Mayonnaise or any preferred sauce

- Ketchup or mustard (optional)


 Instructions:


 1.Prepare the Patty Mixture:

1. In a large bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, grated carrots, bell peppers, onions, peas, and corn.

2. Add the ginger-garlic paste, chili powder, turmeric, garam masala, and salt.

3. Mix well, and add bread crumbs to bind the mixture. If the mixture feels too soft, add more bread crumbs.

4. Shape the mixture into round patties of desired size.


 2. Coat and Fry the Patties:

1. Place extra bread crumbs on a plate.

2. Coat each patty with bread crumbs to get a crispy exterior.

3. Heat a little oil in a pan on medium heat and shallow fry the patties until they are golden and crisp on both sides. Remove and drain on paper towels.


 3. Toast the Buns:

1. Slice the burger buns in half and lightly toast them on a pan with a little butter until golden.


   4. Assemble the Burger:

1. Spread mayonnaise or your favorite sauce on the bottom half of the bun.

2. Place a lettuce leaf, followed by the fried patty.

3. Add a slice of cheese (if using), tomato, and onion slices.

4. Top with ketchup or mustard, if desired.

5. Cover with the top half of the bun.


 5.Serve:

- Serve the veg burger with fries, potato wedges, or a side salad. Enjoy!
